Let me think about the last few days because I sure haven’t posted.
Wednesday. I was surprised to wake up with my C.N.R. He had a floating holiday and decided to use it. That was pleasant because I love it when he is home. It was church night, but we didn’t go. C..N.R. had an afternoon appointment in town. He got back late afternoon and still needed to mow and I had taken on cleaning and de-cluttering things. I cleaned up our loft area and got it ready to do some schooling with the kids. Basically all the things that came from the loft were Sunshine’s. So after that we had to go clean up her room some and get it functional. It was a good day though. It was great having all my people home and our home cleaned up.
As C.N.R. was mowing he found a garter snake. It was in a tarp that he had to move and he called us out to see it. It was rather big and stinky. I am talking my gag reflex kicked in type of stinky. I didn’t know, but they put off a horrible odor when they are being defensive. We looked at him and released him back in to the woods.

I wanted to make no bake cookies. I ended up making baked cookies with my very own recipe. They were yummy!

Thursday…that was yesterday.
Animals were all good yesterday. No one was moved. Happy gathered 8 eggs! We didn’t get them all Wednesday. Those chickens are laying later in the day than I thought they would.

Look at those pretty eyes! Chick-Chick was laying around 3pm. There for a while they were all done by 11ish in the morning.
We played outside yesterday too. We took pictures of mushrooms and caught bugs to check them out and then release them. Sunshine played zoo and pretended to be a monkey.

Happy took this one and I think it looks like a water color painting.

Mushroom family under the trampoline.

Happy found this pretty mushroom and said it looked spotted like a leopard.

Fun note. This is Hank hair in my boot latch because he has been trying to nibble my boot.
Yesterday I worked on weeding the garden area.

I am really liking this huge wagon.

When C.N.R. came home and after supper, we worked in the garden more. We have a lot more area cleaned out now.

There is a sprinkler system in place now and all 4 beds are planted. The compost pile is HUGE.

I worked on decorating for fall. This is decorating on a budget. I would love to go to Hobby Lobby and spend money, but I better not. This is using what I have. The straw in the baskets came from the fresh straw for the pigs, but I won’t tell them I took it. The pine, pine cones, and wooden logs in the squirrel basket came from our property. I think it is looking good.

There is still a lot I want to do, but we’ll see.

The sky was beautiful last night. It was pretty ending to a good day.
