Yup, today is Saturday! It has been a busy, yet not busy day.

We all got up and going today. The kiddos had a swim party to attend. They got to swim for an hour and a half and they loved it. Sunshine Girl is getting better at jumping in. She is still holding onto my thumbs when she jumps. BUT, she is jumping in on her own! What a big improvement. We have tried all summer to get her to jump in and it just hasn’t happened. I am proud of her progress. The boys have no hesitation to belly flop. Everyone got to see friends and play. Happy times.

We came home and got everyone fed and clean and took the kids to meet their grandparents. From there the kids went to see their great grandma. I think they had fun. They are spending the night with grandparents tonight and they always enjoy that. I am blessed with wonderful in-laws.

We were going to go to town and run a few errands, but I just didn’t feel well. That resulted in coming home, checking the animals for a second time, and then me napping on the couch. I had thought about going to town post-nap, but I slept so long. By the time I got up and we would’ve gotten to town the place I wanted to go was closed. Oh well. Saved us money!

We did let the chickens out this morning and give the piggos medicated food. That went well. C.N.R. scooped up C.B. We feed Hank and Oreo first while holding C.B. and then put him down in his own space away from the others so he could actually eat.

We tried feeding pigs maple leaves tonight. They were not interested at all. They are still chowing down on poplar leaver though.

A family that eats together stays together…until one piggo pushes the other away!

We walked to get the mail tonight. It was a nice little walk. I found a tiny pine cone on a stick. I kept it because it will soon be time to decorate for fall. I am excited about that. Fall is my favorite.

We put the chickens, or cluckers as I like to call them, back in the coop. We walked on down to the pigs to top off their water for tonight and this is what we saw.

Some piggies had been rooting around in their straw and couldn’t hide the evidence!

Happy Hank. He loves the pets.

Here Hank is chomping down on a pear. We went to check the pear tree tonight and a couple of pears had fallen. Good pig snacks. We were really surprised about how many pears the tree has this year. I am excited for them to ripen because they are my favorite.

Hubby has been working on saving photos and videos from our hard drive that is breaking. So far, so good. I thought we had lost a ton of Sunshine Girl’s baby photos and was choosing to not think about it so I wasn’t upset. However, we spent several minutes tonight going through what he saved. The baby pictures were there! It was so fun to look at our precious babies. It is such a blessing to be their momma. It is amazing to see how they have changed and grown and how they are still the same in some ways.

I love it when we get date nights. I know those are very important, but I am looking forward getting the kids back. Parenting is strange. It is so much hard worthwhile work. Sometimes I am just in need of a few minutes of quiet or a little time to reset my focus. But goodness. We can put them to bed and then a couple hours later when we go to bed I am ready for my small people back. I know they won’t always be small. I try to remember to soak it all in.

Tomorrow is church day! That is always good. Teaching kiddos about the fruit of the Spirit. It will be a good day.
